Jamestown Revitalization Project Will Create Traffic Delays

Jamestown, CA – A revitalization project in Jamestown will stall traffic through the end of the year.

The Jamestown Gateway and Main Street Revitalization Project is set to begin on Monday (10/14) and continue through Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Tuolumne County Public Works has hired  Sinclair General Engineering Construction, Inc. of Oakdale to complete the work. Crews will remove and replace damaged sections of sidewalk, curbs, and gutters, problem trees, and planting of new trees along Main Street. That includes various improvements in Rocca Park and landscaping and irrigation system revisions at the Highways 49/108 median.

Public works officials highlighted these project details:

Motorists are asked to follow all construction signs and traffic control personnel in the cone zone.
