Sonora, CA–  The Summerville Bears dominated from start to finish in a 58-0 rout over the Riverbank Riptides. The Summerville Bears wasted no time asserting their dominance against the Riverbank Riptides, jumping out to an overwhelming 44-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Bears’ offense was relentless, piling up touchdowns while the defense held the Riptides scoreless throughout the game. By halftime, the score remained 44-0, and Summerville coasted through the second half, adding another seven points in the third and fourth quarters to cap off the 58-0 blowout victory. The Riptides had no answer for Summerville’s aggressive play on both sides of the ball.

The Hughson Huskies edged out the Sonora Wildcats 52-51 in a back-and-forth battle that came down to a thrilling final minute. Both teams traded scores early, with the first quarter ending in a 10-10 tie. In the second quarter, Hughson’s offense caught fire, outscoring Sonora 21-14, giving them a 31-24 lead at halftime. The Wildcats, refusing to back down, regrouped in the second half. Sonora’s offense found its rhythm again, they added seven points in the third quarter to Hughson’s six, narrowing the gap. Then in the fourth quarter, with time winding down and Hughson ahead 52-45, Sonora marched down the field for a touchdown, cutting the Huskies’ lead to just one point at 52-51. Instead of playing for overtime, the Wildcats made a decision to go for the win with a two-point conversion. Hughson’s defense came up with the stop, securing the victory by the slimmest of margins.
