Sonora Man Yelling At Shoppers That He Wants To Drink Their Blood
East Sonora, CA – Shoppers at an East Sonora shopping center were spooked after a man was reportedly yelling at them and saying he wanted to “drink their blood.”
It happened last week on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at around 7:30 p.m. at the Junction Shopping Center located at 13767 Mono Way in East Sonora. Deputies responded to the center after getting a report of a man screaming at people that he wanted to “kill them, drink their blood.
When deputies arrived, they questioned the suspect, 53-year-old Rolland Scott Darby of Sonora, and spoke to one victim, who told them Darby had lunged at her after telling her he was going to kill her and drink her blood, causing the victim to fear for her safety. Other witnesses also reported he screamed at them while they walked by shouting that he represents the devil. Darby was arrested for felony criminal threats with the intent to terrorize.
