Chicken Ranch Me-Wuk Tribe Seeks Partners For Transitional Youth Housing Initiative
Jamestown, CA– The Chicken Ranch Rancheria Me-Wuk Indians of California are seeking community partners to support their new program for homeless or at-risk youth ages 18 to 24. The tribe’s transitional housing, set to open later this year, aims to provide safe shelter and life skills training to help young adults achieve stability and self-sufficiency.
“We are deeply committed to supporting the youth and young adults in our community who are at risk of homelessness,” said LeeAnn Hatton, Community and Social Services Administrator for the tribe. “The launch of our transitional housing program is a critical step in that mission, and we invite the community to join us in making a lasting impact.”
The program will offer training in essential skills such as cooking, budgeting, job-seeking, and educational services. Those interested in collaborating can contact LeeAnn Hatton at lhatton@crtribal.com.
