10 People Involved In Highway 108/120 Crash
Tuolumne County, CA — A three vehicle crash that briefly closed Highway 108/120 for a period of time on Friday morning involved 10 people, including seven tourists from Korea.
The crash occurred around 8am at the intersection of Green Springs Road. The CHP reports that 51-year-old John Galligher of Modesto turned his GMC truck from Green Springs Road onto Highway 108/120 into the path of an oncoming Toyota Van driven by 70-year-old James Park of Dublin, Calif. The van was carrying seven visitors from Korea, ranging in age from 15-48. The truck and van collided, and then a third oncoming vehicle, a Peterbilt truck driven by Thomas Campbell of Ripon, also struck the other vehicles.
Everyone involved in the crash, other than Galligher, reported minor to moderate injuries, and were transported to Adventist Health Sonora. Highway 108/120 was closed for a short period so that first responders could clean up the wreckage. Soon thereafter, and continuing throughout the morning, traffic was directed around the crash utilizing the roadway shoulders.
