Mother Lode Churches Prepare For Easter Season

Sponsored by:

Lake Tulloch Bible Church is one of the many local churches that will be celebrating Easter Sunday on April 21st.

Pastor Ted Mustill of Lake Tulloch Bible Church, was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

In 1990, Mustill relocated to Copperopolis from Southern California where he and his wife Dede were both active in their local church. Shortly after moving, they felt called by God to plant a new church in Copperopolis. The new church began in 1991 inside of a residential home with nine people in attendance.

Since then, membership at Lake Tulloch Bible Church has grown to over four hundred people and the church acquired a 10,000 square foot building located above the Lake Tulloch Plaza.

Lake Tulloch Bible is a non-denominational Christian Church.

Most Christian churches throughout the Mother Lode will hold special services and/or events both on and leading up to Easter Sunday, April 21st.

Asked if Easter is a special time for the Church, Mustill responded, “I believe Easter is the most important season for Christianity. I know a lot of people love the Christmas season, where we talk about the birth of the Son of God. But this is really the time where we celebrate a rebirth, a new beginning. Christianity is the only religion in the world that celebrates a Risen Savior. Instead of having a Day of Remembrance of somebody that has passed away, we are actually celebrating somebody that is alive, so it makes it a very special religion.”

Mustill invites the community to come celebrate Easter on April 21st with the regular Sunday service at 9:30 AM.
