Stolen Texas Car Recovered
Angels Camp, CA – Angels Camp Police Officers recovered a car stolen from Texas. Randy Aitken, a 25 year old from Angels Camp, was arrested in connection with the stolen vehicle. According to Angels Camp Poilce Chief, Todd Fordahl, a reporting party observed that Aitken parked and concealed a vehicle in a suspicious way.
When officers pulled over Aitken in the 300 block of S. Main Street, he was found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance and was driving on a suspended license.
An investigation at his residence found illegal narcotics, firearms and ammunition. Aitken told officers that he was keeping a vehicle parked at his residence for a friend. The vehicle had been reported stolen by the Kyle, Texas Police Department. The owner of the has been contacted and is making arrangements to get his vehicle.
Aitken was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of controlled substances, driving under the influence and driving on a suspended driver license.
