New Stop Light On Tuolumne Road
Sonora, CA – Survey work for a new stoplight at the intersection of Standard and Tuolumne Road will begin Thursday July 5th. The intersection is near the Standard Park Sports Complex. Traffic exiting from the Sierra Bible Church and going to Black Oak Casino and on to Tuolumne (City) will be affected.
Tuolumne County Resources Agency reminds motorists to be aware of all posted speed limits and use caution when driving near the survey crews on both July 5th and July 6th. The work is not expected to interfere with traffic.
The project is being administered by the Tuolumne County Community Resources Agency. Construction is currently scheduled for next year.
Funding was allocated through the Tuolumne County Transportation Council.
There was an accident yesterday at this same intersection as reported in the “Two Cars Crash In Sonora” story posted here.
