State Special Funds Review
Sacramento, CA – The California Parks scandal is prompting a check into the state’s special funds.
The Associated Press says state finance officials are close to finishing a review of hundreds of special funds.
The check into those funds began after two Department of Parks and Recreation accounts were found with nearly a $54 million surplus. California Finance Department Officials are checking to seeing if the numbers match up.
Governor Jerry Brown’s administration says it is keeping a close watch on the findings. They say they are checking to see if the amount in the state’s 560 special funds match what has been reported to the finance department and the state controller.
