Arson Arrest In Sierra Village
Sierra Village, CA — Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to an address on Highway 108 in Sierra Village regarding a burglary and car theft recently.
They say when they arrived on the scene a window screen had been torn open and someone had gone inside the victim’s house while they were sleeping and taken a set of car keys. Deputies say a car was missing from in front of the house. They say the victim believed the suspect was 18 year old Brandon Silva of Sierra Village because he was familiar with the house and had been there many times.
Sheriff’s officials say while checking for finger prints, other deputies and CHP officers located the stolen car on Lyon’s Dam Road where it was left stuck in a drainage ditch. They say several witnesses reported seeing Silva attempting to light the car on fire.
Sheriff’s Officials report after collecting evidence from the house and the car and compiling witness statements, Silva was arrested and charged with several crimes including Arson, Burglary, and Vehicle Theft.
