Carlon Bridge Repairs
Groveland, CA — Extensive work on the Carlon Bridge in south Tuolumne County is being put on hold until after Labor Day.
A bridge deck replacement project started earlier this month. An updated schedule calls for the bridge to remain open through the remainder of the heavy tourist season. The bridge is located along Evergreen Road and extends over the South Fork of the Tuolumne River. One-way traffic control operations will then go into effect on September 6th. At that time, vehicles greater than 30 ft. will be prohibited on Evergreen Road and are advised to use the alternative detour route (Cherry Oil Road).
