Free California Fishing Day
Sacramento, CA– The California Department of Fish and Game invites anglers to celebrate the Labor Day weekend with a free day of fishing.
Today is the second of California’s two Free Fishing Days of the year when people can try their hand at fishing without having to buy a sport fishing license. The other free day was back on July 2nd.
All fishing regulations, such as bag and size limits, gear restrictions, report card requirements, fishing hours and stream closures remain in effect.
The state’s Department of Fish and Game offers two Free Fishing Days each year usually in conjunction with the Fourth of July and Labor Day weekend.
