State Capitol Jump

Sacramento, CA — State lawmakers will take a break today to…hold a frog jumping competition.
It is part of the lead up to the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee. The State Capitol Jump was started by then Assemblyman John Garamendi in the 1970’s and is currently hosted by Senator Dave Cox.
Accompanying the frogs on their promotional tour are the Frog Wranglers, a volunteer group dedicated to the history and community pride reflected in the Jumping Frog Jubilee.
