124 Home Wallace Lake Subdivision Will Go Before Supervisors
San Andreas, CA — The 124 home Wallace Lake Estates Subdivision will once again go before the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.
Interim Community Development Director John Taylor says the project was recommended for approval by the Planning Commission on June 7, 2007, but over the past year and a half the County has been analyzing potential water and wildlife issues.
The major concern is regarding the impact the subdivision could have on the endangered California Salamander.
The project is located in Wallace near Hwy 12 and is phase II of an existing gated subdivision that includes a lake.
County staff is recommending that the Supervisors vote to deny approval of the project as it is currently designed. Tuesday´s meeting will begin at 9am in San Andreas.
