Sonora Resident Appears To Have Suffered Minor Injuries On Hwy 108 Accident

Sonora, CA — 54 year old Laura Simmons of Sonora suffered a laceration to her left hand and complained of head pain following an early morning accident on the Hwy 108 Bypass.
According to the CHP report Simmons´ eastbound white 2003 Toyota pickup left the roadway after hitting ice and plunged approximately 75 feet down an embankment east of the Hess Ave. exit. The truck then overturned on some rocks.
CHP Officer Scott Taylor reports that motorists assisted Simmons back to the roadway so medical attention could be sought.
