San Andreas Sanitary District Receives Stimulus Money
San Andreas, CA – $10.575 million from the federal stimulus package will be used to make improvements to the San Andreas Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The San Andreas Sanitary District manages the collection and treatment of wastewater for the greater San Andreas area (2,300 residents) and is only the second agency in California to receive stimulus money from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.
The design engineers are ECO:LOGIC Engineering out of Rocklin, and the improvements are designed to bring the plant into compliance with current water quality standards.
Half of the funding will come in the form of a grant and the other half from a one-percent low interest loan.
