Health Department Warns Of Beef Recall

Sonora, CA — 47,615 pounds of beef tri tip products have been recalled from Costco stores across northern California due to e-coli concerns.
Rob Kostlivey, Director of Tuolumne County’s Environmental Health Division, says the meat products were sold under the label of “Morton’s of Omaha.”
They include Steakhouse Classic Tri-Tip, with use-by labels of 6/17/09, 6/18/09 and 6/26/09, as well as Rosemary, Garlic and Chardonnay Seasoned Tri-Tip with a use-by date of 6/19/09.
The products were sold at Costco stores in Modesto, Merced, Stockton, Tracy, Fresno and Sacramento.
