Salamander Creek Drainage Fire Update
San Andreas, CA — CAL Fire’s Emergency Command Center is reporting the Salamander Creek Drainage Fire in Calaveras County has now burned approximately one acre.
Public Information Officer Lisa Williams reports that aircraft have spread retardent completely around the fire in the Mountain Ranch area.
Currently committed to the fire, according the Communications Operator Jim DeVoll, are eight CAL Fire engines, one Central fire engine, one San Andreas water tender, two CAL Fire dozers, one Baseline crew and three Vallecito crews. Two helicopters remain on the scene at this hour.
There is also a power outage in the immediate area.
