Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department Pulls Off “”Sting”” Operation

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department and Alcohol Beverage Control are now just releasing information regarding a June 6 “sting” operation in the Mokelumne Hill and Valley Springs areas.
Four individuals were cited during a “shoulder tap” operation where adults buy alcohol for those under the age of 21. Cited were 21 year old Joshua Edward Fetterman of Sutter Creek, 24 year old George Henry Walker, Jr. of Oceanside, 46 year old Nancy Ann Basteyns of Lodi and 36 year old Richard Reed Haight of Valley Springs.
The Sheriff´s Department received a July, 2007 grant from A.B.C. Since that time over 70 arrests or citations for alcohol related offenses have been documented in the county.
