Wal-Mart Customer Service Manager Arrested

Sonora, Ca — The Customer Service Manager for the Sonora Wal-Mart store has been charged with felony embezzlement after allegedly stealing approximately $2,800.
One of the functions of Denise Lynn Staats job is to place money from the cash registers into bank bags, and then deliver the bags to the accounting office. The store started noticing shortages when Staats was working, so the corporation´s District Investigator was contacted.
According to the Sonora Police Department, surveillance tapes showed Staats removing money from the bank bags before she took them to the accounting office. Staats was contacted at the store and placed under arrest. The investigation is ongoing.
