Sonora, Ca — After receiving a 5-1 recommendation from the Planning Commission earlier this month, the scaled down Mt. Springs Community Project will go before the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.

The plan calls for 600 homes to be constructed around the existing golf course. The public hearing will begin at 1:30pm in the Supervisors Chambers.

Also on Tuesday, at the request of Supervisor Mark Thornton, the Board will have a discussion on the feasibility of relocating the county seat from Sonora to Jamestown.

Meanwhile in San Andreas Tuesday, the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will vote on whether to allow the County Administrator´s Office to submit applications for Proposition 40 grant funds for future community projects.

The respective meetings will begin at 9am in Sonora and San Andreas.
