Local Congressman To Seek GOP House Leadership

Washington, DC — Congressman Dan Lungren is planning to challenge Ohio Republican John Boehner for the position of House Minority Leader.
Lungren told the Sacramento Bee, ?It is my belief that it is neither in the interest of our party or the advancement of our conservative principals to simply affirm the status quo by acclimation in light of what happened on November 4th.?
Lungren represents the 3rd Congressional District, which includes Calaveras County. He has also served as California´s Attorney General. A vote on the House leadership is expected to take place later this month.
