Columbia Resident Booked For Reckless Driving

Sonora, CA — 23 year old Nickolas Rizzo of Columbia spent his Monday night in the Tuolumne County Jail on numerous charges including reckless driving.
Just before the noon hour, Rizzo was spotted on his 1981 Yamaha motorcycle driving recklessly in the area of Restano Way and Stewart St. When a Sonora Police officer attempted to stop Rizzo, he accelerated at speeds of 65mph plus. As the motorcycle neared the intersection of Greenley Rd. and Mono Way it made an abrupt right turn into a fenced-in vacant lot located on the southwest corner of the intersection.
That is where Rizzo was arrested and later booked for felony evasion of an officer, reckless driving and driving without a license.
