Sonora Police Thankful For Tuesday Rainstorm

Sonora, CA — Thanks to that rainstorm officers were able to locate a stolen vehicle and make two arrests.
At 6:38pm officers responded to Hospital Rd. regarding a report of a vehicle trespassing at the old mill site. When officers arrived they discovered a 1985 Ford pick-up stuck in the mud approximately 300 feet off Hospital Rd. on mill property.
The officers ran a check and learned it was reported stolen on December 4 in the Modesto area.
The driver, 20 year old Edward Abram Ward of Oakdale, and 39 year old David James Taylor of Modesto were taken into custody, transported to the County Jail and booked on charges of auto theft and possession of stolen property.
