Drunk Driving Causes Major Injury Accident

Sonora, CA — A Sonora man is suffering from a broken back and facing DUI charges after a rollover accident last night.
The California Highway Patrol says 42-year-old Gary Furiosi was driving an older model pickup truck on Italian Bar Road when he lost control, causing the truck to overturn down the embankment.
Furiosi and 47-year-old Bernadette Schwab of Columbia suffered major injuries and were transported to Tuolumne General Hospital.
CHP reports indicate a second passenger, known only as Diane, walked away from the accident. Anyone with information on the identity of the second passenger is asked to call the Sonora Area Office of the CHP.
