Supervisor Urges Aid For Injured Woman
San Andreas, CA — After an automobile accident claimed the life of his mother, Supervisor Steve Wilensky is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to help the other woman involved in the wreck.
Kimberly Smith of Rail Road Flat is at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto recovering from injuries she received when her Volkswagen Jetta collided head on with a Toyota Camry driven by 82-year-old Jeanne Wilensky Wednesday. Wilensky succumbed to her injuries at UC Davis Medical Center hours after the accident.
Smith is listed in fair condition.
Jeanne Wilensky lost control of the Camry before it slid off the right side of the road. While trying to gain control of her vehicle, Wilensky entered the opposing lane of traffic and into the path of Smith.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Rail Road Flat Community Hall.
Supervisor Wilensky says a special fund will be set up for Smith.
