Emma Rock represents everything you hope to see in a young athlete and community member. She was awarded Most Valuable Player for the Lady Bears Junior Varsity for the 2026 Spring Softball season. Rock is known for leading her team in both batting average and on‑base percentage, all while serving as a dedicated Team Captain.
Beyond the field, Rock is deeply involved in Summerville High FFA and will be competing at the Motherlode Fair in the Junior Livestock competition with her lamb, “Roo.” Her commitment to agriculture, responsibility, and hands‑on learning shines through in everything she does.
On weekends, Emma works cleaning ponies and teaching young riders the basics of horsemanship. Lynn Miller, Rock’s grandmother says her efforts in and out of school showcase her “showing patience, kindness, and a natural ability to lead.” Miller states, “She is always the first to lend a hand, whether it’s supporting her teammates, helping fellow FFA members, mentoring new lamb exhibitors, or looking out for her younger brother Jack.”
Emma’s work ethic, leadership, and heart make her an outstanding representative of Summerville High and a truly deserving candidate for KKBN’s Student Athlete of the Week.
