Fire units made quick work of a vegetation fire at the top of the Old Priest Grade at Priest Station and Highway 120. They had the blaze contained within minutes The fire was reported just before 2 p.m.

Old Priest grade was closed for a time to allow firefighters to battle that blaze, and a second fire, in a car, located about 1/8 of a mile down the Old Priest grade also happened at about the same time. That fire was quickly extinguished.

Units on the scene say the grass fire was contained to about 1 acre in size.
