Managers of the state’s electricity grid have withdrawn a power alert that was in effect this
morning.
Today is only the 10th day this year that there´s been no alert. The day started with a stage one alert.
Last week the state ended a month-long string of stage 3 alerts when we were constantly in a threat of rolling blackouts.
A state Assembly committee today approved two bills aimed at giving California more power plants. One
requires local governments in areas where power use exceeds local power production to identify potential sites for new plants. The other streamlines the approval process for remodeling aging or retired power plants.
