California State Parks and the California State Railroad Museum Foundation are excited to present a lovely Valentine’s Day experience aboard the Sweetheart Limited at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown on Saturday evening, February 14, 2026. To begin a lovely romance on the rails experience, couples can indulge in a decadent dessert buffet and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine (or non-alcoholic sparkling cider) in the historic Carriage Room before enjoying a relaxing 45-minute train ride along the scenic Sierra Railway. Two train rides are available that evening departing at 5:30 & 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 4 & 6 p.m., respectively).
Train ride guests aboard the Sweetheart Limited are encouraged to dress to impress for this adult-only (21+) experience that includes soft music and the gentle clickety-clack of the rails while Car Attendants top off commemorative sparking-beverage glasses and capture memorable on-train photos of each couple.
Space is limited and two Sweetheart Limited train ride options are available as follows:
• Sierra Car 14 (Coach) Tickets: $125 per couple (sold in pairs)
• Sierra Car 597 (Four-Top) Tables: $225 per table (up to four)
