Jackson, Barbara

Barbara Jane Jackson, born January 3, 1936 in Monterey, California, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at her residence in Sonora, California. Three children, eight Grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and 3 god daughters.  Barbara and her husband Stanley retired to Columbia in 1986. After her husband’s passing in 1997, Barbara remained in Columbia until 2006. She was a member of the Columbia Fire Women’s Auxiliary for 10 years. Barbara was active in Tops for many years, as well as serving as a Pink Lady at Sonora Community Hospital. Barbara enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. Barbara moved to the central valley in 2006 to be closer to her family, however she always loved Tuolumne County, which led her to move to Sonora in 2019.
