Nita Lee Hila rides, 92, entered into the Lord’s presence, Thursday, December 9, 2021, in Sonora Senior
Living.
Nita was Born May 19, 1929, in West Virginia. She was the daughter of the Late Clarence Haynes, and Evelyn Campbell Haynes.
She was the wife of Lee Hilarides of Groveland. They were married on August 3, 1963.
Nita was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Sonora, California for 17 years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles A. Barker of West Virginia and her siblings, Everette Haynes, Glenn Ray Haynes, and Nila Jean Hall. Also, a great-grandson.
Other survivors include her daughter, Janet (Mike) Wood, of Georgia, her daughter, Kathy (Ed) Niedens, and her son, Roland (Robin) Hila rides, both of Groveland, California. She had twelve grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Nita owned Yosemite Riverside Inn with her husband, Lee, and son, Roland. She retired in 1998. Nita loved to play games with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling across the United States, by train, to visit her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings. She loved to shop and attend Red Hats in Sonora, California for the last few years. While in Sonora Senior Living, she enjoyed playing Bingo and other games. She loved to show off all the trinkets she had won! This helped brighten the last months of her life. The family wishes to thank the staff of Sonora Senior Living for the love and care they showed to mom.
There was a Graveside Service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Big Oak Flat, California on December 31, 2021.
