Update: Calaveras County House Fire Contained
Update at 3:10pm: Cal Fire dispatch report most of the damage was contained to the attic and kitchen of the home, but had no dollar amount. Investigators are on the scene trying to determine what sparke the fire.
Update at 2:30pm: Cal Fire dispatch reports the fire has been knocked down and the flames were contained to the house on the 790 block of Lode Court near Silver Road, which is by the La Contenta Golf course in Valley Springs. Cal Fire dispatch says crews are now conducting “overhaul operations” which they define as checking the home to extinguish any potential fire activity in the walls of the home. There is no word on what sparked the blaze or details on damage to the home.
Update at 2:05pm: Cal Fire dispatch reports firefighters continue to battle the flames outside and inside a burning home the 790 block of Lode Court near Silver Road, which is by the La Contenta Golf course in Valley Springs.
Original Post at 13:42: Valley Springs, CA — Firefighters are on the scene of a structure fire in Calaveras County. Cal Fire says the flames broke out in the attic of a two-story home on the 790 block of Lode Court near Silver Road, which is by the La Contenta Golf course in Valley Springs. Cal Fire dispatch says an engine is on the scene and firefighters have entered the house and are working to contain the flames.
