In a time of conflict, the child Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) loses her family and doesn’t believe in hope. Despite her distrust of Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) she joins a group of rebels on a mission to contact her father and learn about the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction: the Death Star. This key event in the Star Wars timeline occurs just before Star Wars: A New Hope (released in 1977.) The Jedi are in hiding and ordinary people have extraordinary choices to make to try to shake the foundations of the Empire.
