Friedman, David
David Charles Friedman, 74 of Groveland passed away Dec. 21, 2022 at Adventist Health Sonora.
His first love was music and his first band was the Chessmen. He played and instructed guitar his whole life. He was also a surfer, car enthusiast and realtor, after living in California and Hawaii on the island of Kauai Dave moved to Groveland, CA and was active on the Tuolumne River with his boat ferrying rafters after their run through the rapids. Dave desired that a music foundation be established in his name to provide funding an assistance to Tuolumne County youth for their musical endeavors. Dave is survived by his sister Jane and will be remembered by his many friends in music here in Tuolumne County. He was a witty and funny guy who could be always seen on stage with his signature turquoise Stratocaster. We will miss the old boy and his commentary on the world.
