Brandi, Kathleen

Kathleen Jean Brandi, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2024, just days before her 79th birthday. She was born on October 23, 1945, in San Jose, California, to Sam and Gerry Alaimo, and was the eldest of seven siblings.

Kathy attended and graduated San Jose State University. After college, while working as a counselor at Juvenile Hall, she met her future husband, Ed Brandi. The two married in 1970 and shared 54 years together. They had two children, Joe and Gina Brandi.

In 1978, Kathy began her teaching career at Sonora Elementary School, where she touched the lives of many students before retiring in 2005, after 27 years of dedicated service. She was a passionate educator, and her love for learning extended into all aspects of her life.

Kathy had a zest for travel, especially enjoying trips to Europe. She also cherished time spent with her large extended family and enjoyed visiting with them. She was an avid golfer and spent many happy hours on the course at Mountain Springs Golf Club.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 2, 2024, 1:PM – 4:PM, for family and friends. The event will take place at the Teleli Golf Club, located at 17566 Lime Kiln Road, Sonora, CA 95370.
