Winter Hike at Calaveras Big Trees SP

Join Tuolumne County Trailhead on a morning hike of about 4 miles in various sections of Calaveras Big Trees State Park. First, we go to the Scenic Overlook, then to the North Grove Overlook, followed by a walk through the North Grove and a visit to the warming hut for a hot beverage. Optional add-on: guided hike/snowshoe walk of the 1.7 mile North Grove Loop. Snowshoes provided by the Calaveras Big Trees Association or bring your own. The Tuolumne County Trailhead program airs on KAAD-LP 103.5 FM (Sonora’s community radio station) on second and fourth Sundays at 12:30pm; hikes are monthly on first Saturdays.
