Marti Carter, RN, BSN, CIC, is the Director of Infection Prevention and Quality at Sonora Regional Medical Center. Carter grew up in Folsom, California, and received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from San Jose State University. She has been working at the Medical Center for 23 years and previously worked at Dameron Hospital in Stockton. In her role as Director of Infection Prevention and Quality, Carter most enjoys providing education and problem solving with staff. Carter resides in Murphys. Her daughter is a fourth-grade teacher and her son is in eighth grade. She proudly admits that her husband is a great cook and together, Carter and her family all enjoy music – especially the Strawberry Music Festival.
