Join Tuolumne County Arts during 2nd Saturday Art Night on Washington St. for FREE arts & crafts taught by Stacy Lindsey. From printmaking to paper crafts and more, we’ll have a fun new activity each month!

This month’s activity: Creating Found Poetry. “Found poetry is a type of poetry created by taking words, phrases, and sometimes whole passages from other sources and reframing them by making changes in spacing and lines, or by adding or deleting text, thus imparting new meaning.” Drop by our workshop to create your own Erasure/Blackout poetry—a specific type of found poetry created by erasing words from an existing text to create a poem—or, if you’re feeling adventurous, experiment with other forms of found poetry by cutting, remixing, or even drawing on your text.

No registration required, but please keep in mind that popular workshops may run out of space. There is no age restriction for this workshop, but any young children attending must be accompanied by an adult.
