Celebrating the Art of Jack Cassinetto: An Exhibit of His Paintings

Sonora Area Foundation (SAF) is proud to partner with the family of late artist Jack Cassinetto to host an evening art event. Thirty of Cassinetto’s paintings will be on display for the public’s viewing. Two works, “Marin Valley” and “Pathway, San Anselmo,” will be auctioned to benefit a Sonora Area Foundation scholarship fund. Each painting has a retail value of $1,600. Both currently are on display at Sonora Area Foundation’s office (362 S. Stewart St.), and bids may be placed there as well as at the exhibit. Bids close at 6:30 p.m. on the day of the event.

At 5:00 p.m. a short program with speakers will begin. Speakers include local plein air artist Chuck Waldman, current SAF Executive Director Darrell Slocum, and former SAF Executive Director Ed Wylie.

This free event is open to the public and coincides with Sonora’s 2nd Saturday Art Night. No reservations are required.
