When the Sierra Quilt Guild of Tuolumne County faced the cancellation of their annual Quilt Show due to Covid-19, in true pioneer spirit they have carried on and are presenting a 2020 Safe and Free Family Fun Drive-By Quilt Show experience. The event will take place from 10am – 4pm, Saturday, September 12th. A variety of traditional and modern Quilts will be on display from the road at various locations in and around Sonora. Maps can be downloaded from the guild’s homepage at http://sierraquiltguild.com/1quilthome.html. and will be available at Quail’s Nest Quilt Store.
Don’t miss the stop at Quail’s Nest Quilt Store at 14675 Mono Way in Sonora where you can purchase tickets for the 2012 Opportunity Quilt “Pinwheels in the Garden”. Some of the members will have a table set out with free quilting items such as books and fabric. All you need to do is put some gas in the car, download a map, and hit the road for a scenic Gold Country drive filled with beautiful Quilts and inspiration. Please remember to drive safely, and pull over if you want to stop. If you get out of your car, please observe Covid-19 restrictions and social distance with a mask.
