The Law Enforcement Torch Run has become on of our favorite annual fundraising events of the year for Special Olympics! We/the residents and friends of Sonora/Tuolumne County have such a historic & beautiful town to run through. The back drop of Downtown Sonora is like no other in it’s beauty and charm. Please come run and with our local law enforcement, their families, friends and of course our very own Special Olympics athletes the Tuolumne County Ravens for a Great Cause! This leg of the Torch Run is part of a Northern California/Nevada state run that helps in sending our athletes off to the University of Santa Clara for their 2022 Summer Game competition. The Tuolumne County section of the Torch Run starts at the Red Church at 9 am (for those who did not register online and to pick up shirts for those who did.) followed by the Run at 10am and ends at the Fairgrounds with a BBQ and games!
This event is open to the public who register to run/walk with us from the Red Church to the Fairgrounds. You do not need to be a member of Law Enforcement or a Raven in order to join us. We welcome all who wish to help us support Special Olympics.
