The Murphys Senior Center and its partners are hosting a Longevity & Lifestyle Conference on October 15, 2026 from 8am to 3pm. The Longevity & Lifestyle Conference will feature local and national experts presenting current brain research and aging trends. The conference has been planned for the general public and those working in the health and age related professions.

The Program Agenda includes Kue Lee from the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation, Claire Day of the Alzheimers Association, Dr. Beatriz Marron from UC Davis and Keynote Dr. Selena Bartlett, an internationally recognized Neuroscientist and thought leader in brain health. Traveling from Queensland, Australia Dr. Bartlett is excited to spread the word that, “Brain health is everyone’s business, discover how healthy habits and stronger connections can help us live longer and build truly thriving lives”. Registration is $15.00 and includes breakfast and lunch. This event is sponsored by The Alzheimers Association, The Mark Twain Health Care District, Adventist Health Sonora, Adventist Health Home Care and Dignity Health Mark Twain Medical Center.

In its 17th year, The Murphys Senior Center provides exercise and social activities for older adults on the Highway 4 Corridor of Calaveras County. As a non-profit The Murphys Senior Center operates the Murphys Food Pantry and the Murphys Thrift Store. The Murphys Senior Center is located at 65 Mitchler Avenue and is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 3pm.
