Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, and Charlie Day return for more employee revenge in this follow-up to the 2011 comedy without the involvement of previous director Seth Gordon and screenwriters Michael Markowitz, John Francis Daley, and Jonathan M. Goldstein. Whether likeable dolts or irritating morons the job this time is to bring the “Shower Buddy,” (sort of a glorified soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser) to market. A mail order catalog company orders 100,000 units then cancels, effectively putting Nick, Kurt, and Dale into bankruptcy. Their get-even plan involves kidnapping an all-too-willing victim.
