Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) and her goddaughter Aurora (Elle Fanning) begin to question the complex family ties that bind them including Queen Ingrith (Michelle Pfeiffer) as they are pulled in different directions by the impending wedding with Prince Phillip (Harris Dickinson, replacing Brenton Thwaites, who played the role in the 2014 Maleficent), as unexpected allies and dark new forces are at play.
