Sonora, CA — Officials made quick work of stopping a quarter-acre vegetation fire that ignited in the vicinity of Isom Road in the Sonora area.
It was reportedly in the backyard of a residence and burned ¼ acre during the nine o’clock hour this morning. Some nearby homes were briefly threatened, but it did not damage any structures. No evacuations were called for.
Isom Road, near Yosemite Road, is currently closed near the fire, except for residents who live there.
Firefighters are on the scene mopping up the incident and investigating the cause.
