Fire Near San Andreas Library Ignited By Fireworks

San Andreas, CA — Last night a quarter-acre vegetation fire was extinguished near the Calaveras County Library in San Andreas.

The fire ignited around the the seven o’clock hour and CAL Fire investigators determined that it was caused by a juvenile using fireworks. A citation was issued. CAL Fire is encouraging parents to ensure that their children have not secretly stashed away any fireworks. No additional details are immediately available.
