William Floyd Grogan 68, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2021 at Adventist Health Sonora. William was born on April 28, 1952.

Bill joined the Navy in 1969 after high school as he loved the Ocean and being on the water. Bill married in 1971 to Denna Stokes of Salinas. They had their only child, Trudy Grogan/Donais in 1972. Bill and Denna moved from Paso Robles to Sonora CA in 1986. They were married 19 years before they divorced in 1990.

Bill then met his current wife Betty Goepferich in 1990. They married in 1991.

Bill loved being outdoors camping, boating and bass fishing. He especially enjoyed BBQing and spending time with his family, as well as volunteering at the local F.F.A, fire department and his church “Creekside Community”.

Bill was a kind and loving father, husband to his daughter Trudy and spouse Betty, as well as an amazing father to her two children. Which went on to give them grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Bill, “be kind’, and this is exactly how he choose to live his life.”

He is survived by his beloved wife Betty of 30 years, daughter Trudy Donais, son-in-law Jon Donais and stepchildren Chad Miller and Sabrina Miller, he also leaves behind several grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

The family held a private funeral graveside on January 29th 2021. A Celebration of life will be open to family and friends, 011:00 on April 24th 2021 at Creekside Community Church, 13650 Bergel RD, Sonora CA 95370.

Bill passed away suddenly from complications caused from infection. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, he managed his illness with strength and grace, and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by his wife, children, son-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchild who he adored more than anything else in the world.
