Sonora, CA — Lt. Dan Bressler of the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department has identified Groveland resident Margo Ann Meierbachtol, born in 1939, as the deceased in a Friday afternoon accident at Jacksonville Rd. east of Hwy 120.

The two vehicle accident occured at 3:30 near the Don Pedro Bridge overcrossing. Driving the other car was Ray Emerald of Jamestown who was named as Tuolumne County´s Citizen of the Year at the annual Chamber of Commerce dinner at the Sonora Elks Club. Emerald was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with reported head injuries.
