San Andreas, CA — 17 year old Ashley Forbes of Galt was involved in a single vehicle accident Monday evening just before six o’clock.
According to the CHP report, Forbes was westbound on Hwy 12 at Upper Double Springs Rd. traveling at a speed of 60mph. Apparently she looked away from the roadway and drifted to the right causing the right side tires to leave the asphalt surface.
Forbes turned to the left and then back to the right in an effort to gain control of her vehicle. At that point she lost total control and exited the roadway only to proceed down a dirt embankment.
The vehicle rolled over on its left side completely blocking Double Springs Rd.
Forbes was transported to Mark Twain-St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
